One as a duet (really a trio because Vignola is often playing both lead and rhythm) with tubist Sam Pilafian with Rhythme Futur stuck on the front of the tune. The other example was with O'Conner and Jon Burr from O'Conner's album celebrating Django and Stephane Grappelli. Great stuff.the unthinking lemminghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10474976634853731048noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-694480735393172006.post-4365004467511646352010-01-22T18:44:57.012-06:002010-01-22T18:44:57.012-06:00I've loved Vignola since his work with Sam Pil...I've loved Vignola since his work with Sam Pilafian and Ken Peplowski in a group they called Travelin' Light.the unthinking lemminghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10474976634853731048noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-694480735393172006.post-86728135701867576552010-01-21T15:16:27.663-06:002010-01-21T15:16:27.663-06:00The boy can play, no doubt. Heather Masse has a gorgeous voice and looks to match - I'd be curious to hear her in this setting as opposed to her solo work or with the Wailin' Jennys. Look up "Bathtub" from her solo album "Bird Song." It sounds like a slinky dress, and may be a little corny, but damn...I'm smitten.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
