Taking the "A" Train With Jazzbo
One of the small joys of living in Kansas City is the possibility of a serendipitous encounter with Jazzbo. I've seen the man performing in parks, on sidewalks and at conventional music venues for over two decades. His one-man-band routine always makes me smile. The Pitchprofiled Jazzbo a couple years ago.
Decades ago, I'd go to the Phoenix nearly every Tuesday to hear Karrin Allyson and Rod Fleeman. One night, during her break, Karrin said, "Come with me." We walked a few blocks and there was Jazzbo. We stood and listened and when her break was done, we walked back to the Phoenix.

ReplyDeleteIt's good to know that Karrin is down with the scruffy likes of Jazzbo.
