ReplyDeleteIsn't this type approach essential when promoting artists and the music of the smooth/contemporary/pop jazz style? This is the type presentation that obviously reaches her audience.
ReplyDeleteWe have a few smooth/contemporary/pop jazz scene of artists here in Kansas City who essentially do the same thing to market themselves and announce performances. Fine musicians all.
And, their fans support them. We could use more of that across the board in jazz and improvised music - regardless which end of the spectrum suits one best.
